Job Summary
National Construction Management Lead at RailPros provides strategic leadership for national CM operations in the rail sector, guiding planning, inspection, design review, and quality assurance across Class I railroads, commuter rail, and transit agencies. The role leads expansion of CM services nationwide, drives business development leveraging an established rail-industry network, and mentors a geographically dispersed team of senior managers and technical staff. The position emphasizes building long-term client relationships with Class I railroads, transit authorities, and public agencies, while championing safety, innovation, and service excellence and aligning corporate growth objectives with project delivery. The ideal candidate has extensive rail CM experience, strong leadership and client-engagement skills, and a track record of delivering large, complex programs with strategic vision and operational execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 15+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 10 years in the rail sector (Class I railroads, commuter rail, and/or transit agencies)
- Proven experience leading large, complex CM teams across multiple regions
- Strong business development skills with established rail industry network to generate opportunities and revenue growth
- Extensive network of client relationships within Class I railroads and transit markets
- Demonstrated ability to deliver major construction programs (>$50M) across planning, inspection, design review, and construction delivery
- Proven leadership and team-management abilities for senior managers and multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience managing financial performance and budgets, including P&L accountability
- Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Engineering/Construction Management) and PE license or equivalent (preferred)
- Bilingual: Spanish/English (preferred)
- Direct experience with federal, state, and local transportation agencies (FRA, FTA, DOT) (preferred)
