Job Summary
National Account Executive for Meet Minneapolis responsible for promoting the City of Minneapolis as a premier destination for conventions and meetings, targeting national association meetings with a minimum 1,401+ peak room nights, and managing activities from prospecting and bid proposals to client site visits, travel to trade shows, and executive-level sales presentations. Role supports remote/hybrid work in DC/MD/VA region or Minneapolis HQ, requires travel, strong hospitality sales background, ability to develop business with hotel partners and CVB reps, and effective use of CRM tools.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree preferred (not required)
- Minimum of five years of hospitality industry sales experience
- Extensive experience selling to Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia markets highly preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Willing and able to work evenings, weekends and holidays based on client and office demands
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience with CRM and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel to trade shows, client visits, and partner events
- Proficiency in developing and executing sales plans and budgets
