Job Summary
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with C-Suite staff, Pharmacy Directors, and P&T Members to influence care protocols and identify product opportunities for new launches. Execute national and regional payer account management across Medicare Part D, Commercial Plans, State/Managed Medicaid, and PBMs to secure optimal formulary positions and address access issues proactively. Drive business planning with internal partners and field teams to maximize pull-through efforts while tracking marketplace intelligence on competitive trends and industry updates. Serve as the primary Medicaid expert for internal business partners, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Requires 6+ years of national account management experience with state Medicaid plans and up to 50% travel; reports to the Vice President, Market Access.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of successful National Account Management experience
- Demonstrated recent success working with state Medicaid plans and multi-state Medicaid Pharmaceutical purchasing pools as National Account Manager including current positive working relationships with key decision makers
- Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Business, Marketing or related field
- Mastery of the Medicaid channel with recent experience gaining new, branded product acceptance with nationwide state FFS Medicaid, managed Medicaid and Medicaid purchasing pools
- Ability to leverage HEOR/pharmacoeconomic data to build out the value story to expedite formulary acceptance across the Medicaid landscape
- History of interfacing with C-Suite and other high-level Payer and Health system executives
- Ability to travel up to 50% percent of time
