Job Summary
Conduct personal care activities assisting patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, ambulation, transfers, dressing, and meal preparation. Accompany patients on errands or medical appointments while performing light housekeeping tasks. Deliver patient-specific activities such as hospice supportive care, medication reminders, range of motion exercises, and incontinence care. Utilize lifting equipment like gait belts and Hoyer lifts for patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living
- Ability to perform personal hygiene
- Ability to perform ambulation/transfers
- Ability to perform dressing
- Ability to prepare meals and snacks according to instructions
- Ability to accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
- Ability to perform light housekeeping activities
- Ability to perform patient-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home staff
- Ability to provide hospice supportive care
- Ability to provide medication reminders
- Ability to assist with the prescribed range of motion exercises
- Ability to care for bed-bound patients
- Ability to use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts
