Job Summary
Develop and test Orion flight software embedded in C/C++ for NASA's Orion spacecraft; design, refactor, and test FSW, integrate software units within the flight software domain, and perform thorough unit tests. Collaborate with NASA SMEs to resolve flight software issues, develop software tools and scripts, and build FSW loads for testing in Houston, TX. Requires experience with safety-critical, real-time embedded software, and familiarity with tools such as Google Test/gMock; knowledge of spacecraft systems, configuration management, and end-to-end software lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
- B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines
- 3-5 years of experience in aerospace vehicle embedded software development for safety-critical flight software
- Strong C/C++ programming skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision
- Highly developed coordination and organization skills
- Team-oriented and strong work ethic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
