Job Summary
Perform NDT examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications. Certify as a NAS-Level II Technician in one or more methods listed. Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and work priorities. Prepare written instructions and report examination results. Work independently and support team members. This temporary assignment starts in September and runs through December with 60 hours/week expected, including shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week. Competitive pay, per diem, and travel in/out are provided. Prior military with aviation NDI/NDT training is encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- Certifiable to NAS-410 Level II in any/all of the methods listed
- Documented classroom hours in each method plus Official OJT/Experience Hours for each method for Level II re-certification
- Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- U.S. Persons status (U.S. citizens, nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylum seekers)
- Ability to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
- Ability to work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
- Ability to work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
- Ability to work around operating equipment and industrial environments
- Ability to work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
- Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week
- Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds
