Nanophotonics Engineer/Scientist for Snap Spectacles joins a world-class R&D team to develop AR waveguide designs and optical structures for high-volume, low-cost AR displays. Responsibilities include using in-house optical design tools, developing optical design software, contributing to new AR waveguide designs, integrating data from physical measurements (SEM, AFM) into models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring designs to manufacture. Key skills include physics-based design and optimization, Python for computation, scripting to interface with simulation tools, experience with diffractive/nanophotonics optics modeling (FDTD, RCWA/FMM), optical raytracing, Jones calculus, Git, and a strong ability to communicate and plan in a fast-paced R&D environment.
