Job Summary
Senior Program Assistant coordinates complex logistical and administrative tasks for the RWJF Health Policy Fellows Program in Washington, D.C., including online and in-person meetings, writing/editing routine correspondence, and supporting communications, newsletters, presentations, social media posts, and website content. The role involves interfacing with fellows, alumni, briefers, sponsors, and program staff; managing the HPFLP team’s database; organizing events and travel processes; and assisting with travel, materials, and records. The position includes a 3.5-month orientation period and a hybrid work arrangement with substantial onsite presence in the Washington, D.C. area. Responsibilities span administrative duties, event planning, publications support, communications and outreach, and staff development; requires ability to work independently, solve problems, and collaborate across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent knowledge
- Minimum Experience: Four years of related experience in an office environment
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree with some office experience
- Experience with website management/maintenance, CRM/ARM software, and social media platforms is a plus
- Hybrid office/telecommute environment with minimum 60% onsite and occasional travel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google apps; strong scheduling and meeting coordination
- Strong writing/editing/proofreading capabilities for materials and communications
- Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels
