Job Summary
Senior Data Platform Account Executive for Communications, Media & Telecommunications responsible for developing strategic accounts, building trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders, and driving sales of Oracle's Data Platform, Database, Analytics, AI, and Cloud solutions. Focuses on modernizing data architectures, accelerating AI adoption, unlocking new revenue opportunities, and delivering multi-cloud, hybrid cloud solutions (OCI, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) to enterprise customers across Telecommunications Service Providers, Cable & Broadband Operators, Media & Entertainment Companies, Digital Media Platforms, Advertising Technology Organizations, and Communications Providers. Tasks include generating and closing complex enterprise opportunities, maintaining a strong sales pipeline and forecast, and collaborating with Cloud Infrastructure, AI, Industry, Applications, and Solution Engineering teams to enable customer success. Industry focus centers on data modernization, AI-enabled transformation, and new digital business models, with emphasis on executive engagement and alignment of Oracle’s portfolio to customers’ growth and transformation goals.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of successful enterprise technology sales experience
- Experience selling Data Platform, Database, Analytics, AI, Cloud Infrastructure, SaaS, PaaS, or related solutions
- Experience selling into Telecommunications, Communications, Media, Cable, Broadband, Digital Media, Advertising Technology, or Entertainment organizations
- Demonstrated success selling to CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CFOs, and executive stakeholders
- Proven track record of exceeding quota and closing complex enterprise opportunities
- Understanding of modern data architectures, analytics, AI/ML, and cloud technologies
- Familiarity with multi-cloud strategies involving OCI, AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Strong prospecting, account planning, communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills
- Ability to navigate complex organizations and lead cross-functional sales teams to successful outcomes
