Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding. Aid with mobility by walking, turning, repositioning, and transferring between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs. Monitor and record vital signs, report abnormalities to the nurse, and support basic medical care such as changing wound dressings. Observe patients for condition changes, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold patient rights and infection control protocols. Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, and therapists to achieve optimal patient outcomes in a 27-bed general surgical unit. AHA CPR certification and high school diploma required; previous healthcare experience is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Nursing Assistant Level I certification
- AHA CPR
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and move patients as necessary
