Job Summary
Provide patient care under licensed nurse direction by collecting health data, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing and toileting, and maintaining clean and safe work environments. Document all pertinent patient information accurately, maintain infection control precautions, and proactively identify risks to patient safety. Assist with ambulation, turning in bed, and transferring patients using appropriate techniques while respecting each patient's dignity. Schedule includes 32 hours of eight-hour evening shifts every other weekend and holiday.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification
- Minimum of 75 hours in an accredited nursing program to include completion of first rotation
- active EMT or Paramedic Certification
- active Patient Care Technician/Assistant Certification
- active Home Health Aide Certification
- active Medical Assistant Certification
- successful completion of a Nurse Aide program
- previous Massachusetts CNA licensure for Nurse Aide
- equivalent from out of state
- Current AHA BLS
- 1 year Long Term Care or Acute Care experience
