Job Summary
Mental Health Capacity Building Wellness Coach responsible for developing, planning and facilitating universal mental health programming for students in grades K-12 and engaging school-based staff division-wide in wellness initiatives and ongoing learning in mental health. This term position supports division and external funder goals, with roles including promoting positive mental health, building staff capacity, delivering evidence-based programming in schools, and ensuring access to supports in the community. The role requires independent and collaborative work, strong written and verbal communication, digital literacy, time management, and the ability to work with diverse populations within an educational setting. Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Services
- Proof of post secondary education, Grade 12 or General Educational Development (GED)
- Education received outside of Canada will require an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) confirming high school or post secondary equivalencies
- Experience working with children and youth
- Experience working in mental health with a promotion and prevention focus
- Class 5 driver's license (without graduated driver's license (GDL))
- A police information check; including Vulnerable Sector Check from Police Services or an RCMP detachment that does not have any charges or convictions
- A satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services
- Proof of photo identification
- Documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employee’s legal name
