Job Summary
Senior N1 Metrology Equipment Technician responsible for maintenance, repair, upgrade, and monitoring of wafer fabrication equipment in Metrology (4-point probe, AFM, CDSEM, film-thickness tools, defect inspection). Performs troubleshooting of electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, conducts scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and documents activities. Trains others, communicates effectively in writing and verbally, and can stand for long periods (up to 12 hours) and lift up to 50 lbs. Requires AS/AAS in electronics or related, or equivalent experience, with 5–8+ years in semiconductor/metrology maintenance; SPC and FDC knowledge; strong interaction with Operations and Engineering; safety and reliability-focused.
Required Qualifications
- AS, AAS in electronics or related preferred (equivalent experience acceptable)
- Minimum of 8 years of semiconductor industry experience
- AA degree in Electronics or related discipline with 5 years maintenance experience or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of Metrology/Defect area experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of SPC and FDC
- Ability to interface with Operations and Engineering
- Safety, performance, and reliability requirements satisfaction
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
