Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and assist with daily activities for residents, including distributing medications and performing housekeeping duties. Identify safety hazards, report resident condition changes immediately, and document incidents and treatment provided per established procedures. Lead and schedule activities for residents while maintaining clean, safe work areas and adhering to infection control practices. Work cooperatively with residents, families, and staff across all facility areas, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
- Must be able to communicate the English language at a 10th grade level
- Must show evidence of good physical and mental health
- Must be able to deal with the residents and public tactfully
- Must possess the personal qualities that make it possible to maintain good interpersonal relationships
- Must enjoy working with the elderly
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc., throughout the workday
- Is willing to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary
- May be required to work on weekends and holidays
- May be required to work on shifts other than the one hired
