Job Summary
Set up machines for different cuts, making adjustments, performing daily maintenance, greasing, and sharpening blades. Handle administrative duties including P.M. schedules and logs while working in extreme temperatures and humidity. Work 8-11 hours standing and using hands daily, lifting 85 lbs, and operating at high heights. Rotate through holidays, weekends, and varying shifts including day, evening, or night. Complete a successful background check and demonstrate strong communication and decision-making skills within a proactive maintenance team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 85 lbs.
- Must be able to work at high heights.
- Must be able to do administrative duties and records, ie (P.M's, logs, etc.)
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and possibly have to work different shifts (day, evening, or night).
- Must complete a successful background check.
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to apply common sense.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
- Ability to multitask and work quickly.
- Must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees at some stations. (Less than 3 feet apart.)
- Must have good communication skills.
- Good hand and eye coordination required.
Desired Qualifications
- Must be able to work well with others, communication with others, and have good decision-making ability.
- Desire to be part of a proactive, motivated maintenance team.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and humidity.
- Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40 degrees).
- Skills in mechanics, welding, and electrical fields is preferred.
- Food or production experience preferred.
- Prefer at least two years' experience.
