Job Summary
Principal Logistics Engineering Technician to join the Engineering team in Devonport, Auckland on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract. Lead obsolescence and inventory strategies to sustain RNZN platforms, deliver cost-effective solutions that extend asset life and optimise performance, mentor others, influence engineering decisions, and drive continuous improvement across the engineering lifecycle. Role emphasizes expert supportability, obsolescence management, lifecycle management, PLC/MRP system proficiency, technical investigations, risk assessment, stakeholder communication, and durable technical leadership across systems and disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Technical vocational qualification in engineering discipline
- Membership of a relevant technical body, preferably with certification, with a desire for CPD
- ~8 years relevant engineering/supportability experience
- ~2 years technical leadership or delivery management experience
- Eligibility for NZ Defence Security Clearance (DSC)
