Job Summary
Provide non-medical, in-home care including companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and assistance with daily living activities such as dressing, eating, and bathing. Transport clients to and from appointments and activities while carrying out specific tasks defined in their Care Plan. Collaborate with the Home Helpers team and client families to create supportive solutions for unique needs, covering both attendant care for nursing facility levels and instrumental activities for community assistance. Maintain a professional demeanor, punctuality, and dependability while passing required drug screens, background checks, and TB tests. Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record are required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a passion for caring for those in need
- At least 18 years of age
- Have compassion for our clients, including seniors and/or those with disabilities
- Must be a good communicator
- Must be able to follow and complete a list of tasks within a given time period
- Must be punctual and dependable
- Must be self-motivated and have a professional, pleasant, positive, and helpful disposition
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Hold a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record
- Have a smart phone and email account
- Pass a drug screen and background check
- Willing to take a TB test
Desired Qualifications
- Caregiving experience is preferred, but not required
