Job Summary
Lead and optimize MySQL/SQL database environments in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) focusing on performance tuning, high availability, and robust backup/recovery strategies. Manage cloud-native deployments (AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure Database for MySQL/SQL), implement replication/clustering for HA, and drive automation through scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible) to streamline DB operations. Proficiency with query optimization, index management, and leveraging cloud-native tooling is essential, with a consulting-context focus on delivering client-ready database solutions.
Desired Qualifications
- MySQL certifications or cloud certifications (AWS Certified Database – Specialty, Azure Database certifications)
- Experience leading MySQL/SQL DBA teams
- Strong experience with AWS RDS/Aurora and Azure Database for MySQL/SQL
- Proficiency in MySQL performance tuning, query optimization, and index management
- Experience with high-availability solutions (replication, clustering) and backup/recovery
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, Ansible) for database automation
- Knowledge of cloud-native deployment practices in AWS and Azure
- Experience with database automation and orchestration
