Job Summary
Design inquiry-based and dynamic languages instruction for Middle and Diploma students, fostering curiosity-driven approaches across multiple ability levels. Lead or support language-related extracurricular activities, clubs, and competitions throughout the year while maintaining accurate records of student progress. Prepare reports, conduct parent-teacher conferences, and communicate ongoing with families to support open relationships. Participate in professional development training related to IB programmes and model high standards of commitment in all interactions. Support the school's co-curricular program by leading a club or coaching a team for at least two terms annually. Commence August 27, 2026, and conclude June 25, 2027.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent in Spanish/Languages or related field
- BC Ministry of Education: Certificate of Qualification or Independent School Teaching Certificate
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada or be in the process of obtaining the appropriate visa(s)
Desired Qualifications
- IB DP and/or MYP training or teaching experience
- At least 2 years' teaching experience
