Job Summary
MWD Field Operator responsible for pre-job setup and testing of surface and downhole MWD equipment, tool installation supervision, data verification (directional surveys, gamma), adherence to execution plans and safety guidelines, field maintenance, inventory management, and on-site reporting. Requires safety certifications, ability to lift 75 lbs, ability to work 12-hour shifts and be away from home, with preferred technical degree (Petroleum/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) and prior MWD or rig experience; position located at Calgary, AB, Canada; in-person remote arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Valid safety certificates (H2S, First Aid & CPR, CSO, Fall Protection)
- Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
- Display a strong work ethic and reliability
- Must have a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a safety sensitive environment and comply with pre-access and site-specific health and safety requirements
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (including nights) and be away from home for extended periods of time
- Degree or Diploma in technical program is preferred (Petroleum/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering)
- Previous MWD or Rig experience is an asset
