Job Summary
Operate rear-loading garbage trucks to collect waste/recyclables in Philadelphia; drive safely with a Class A or B CDL and airbrake endorsement, requiring at least 2 years of CDL driving experience. Early 4am start, Monday through Saturday schedule, with lifts up to 50 pounds and maneuvering up to 100 pounds, using newer automatic trucks. Maintain compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations and a strong safety record; communicate effectively in English and complete routine driving and reporting tasks. Compensation is $30/hour with overtime at 1.5x after 40 hours; benefits package offered.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL
- Airbrake Endorsement
- 2-year CDL driving experience in the last 7 years
- 21 years of age or older
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Clean MVR with good safety record
- Ability to read and understand English
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and applicable traffic regulations
- Ability to meet physical demands (lift up to 50-100 pounds)
- Experience with rear-loading garbage trucks (preferred)
