Job Summary
Cast two performers for two stages: a solo acoustic guitar player/vocalist and a vocalist leader who performs live with an acoustic guitarist. Perform designated instruments and/or sing during maximum four 45-minute intervals, alternating between standing and sitting. Set up and strike personal musical equipment, complete daily sound checks, clean up break room trash, and maintain on-time schedules. Work in crowds, heat, and cold while joining the American Federation of Musicians if not already a member. Paid rehearsal at $38.30/hour at Magic Mountain or designated studio off property. Audition required; applicants must meet physical requirements for lifting over 51 lbs with assistance and withstand temperature extremes.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to perform designated instrument and/or sing live
- Must be able to stand or sit and perform a maximum of (4) 45-minute intervals
- Must be able to set up and strike personal musical equipment
- Must be able to complete sound check once daily (when appropriate)
- Must be able to clean up personal trash from break room
- Must be able to maintain on-time schedule performance
- Must be able to work in crowds, heat, and cold for (4) 45 minutes shows
- Must be willing to join the American Federation of Musicians, if not a member already
- Constantly standing, talking, climbing walking, reaching, using finger movement, grasping, feeling, speaking clearly, hearing conversation, using hearing acuity, seeing near far, stooping, bending, kneeling
- Working in extreme heat, sun, cold, wetness, humidity and temperature change
- All lifts over 51 lbs. require help from a coworker or mechanical device
- Overtime of adults may be required from time to time to accommodate the business need
