Musical Instrument Associate Part-Time/Seasonal

Seasonal, part-time Sales Associate to assist new band and orchestra students in instrument selection and complete Better Than Rent contracts at Schmitt Music locations. Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service to students and parents, using the point-of-sale system for sales and inventory, restocking showroom, coordinating with a team of music professionals, attending training, and working retail hours including evenings and weekends. Occasional school settings and physical duties such as standing, walking, lifting up to 20-30 pounds, and occasional ladder use are involved. Knowledge of instruments, music education, and sales in a retail environment are beneficial; the role emphasizes customer service, instrument guidance, contract processing, and maintaining inventory across locations in the Sioux Falls area.
