Job Summary
Support the production and filming of Tiny Desk concerts as required; produce high-caliber photography of Tiny Desk artists; collaborate on the creation of multi-platform content for TikTok and other social channels; track and analyze current music trends to maintain content relevance and audience engagement. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to NPR’s Visuals and Music teams, develop editorial and creative skills, and work closely with prominent editorial voices and industry tastemakers. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in photography and video production, knowledge of digital culture and current music trends, familiarity with TikTok and social media trends, strong writing and editing abilities, and a compelling portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current student in an accredited degree program or a recent graduate of no more than 12 months from the month of the start of the internship.
- Demonstrated proficiency in photography and video production.
- Comprehensive knowledge of digital culture, pop trends, and the current music landscape.
- A keen awareness of emerging social media trends, particularly on TikTok.
- Proficient writing and editing capabilities.
