Job Summary
Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy and professional certification (MT-BT/NMR/AMTA or equivalent). Provide music therapy per plan of care; assess patients and determine effectiveness; implement interventions to relieve symptoms and support emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort using techniques such as relaxation, lyric analysis, songwriting, and life review; document sessions promptly; educate team, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement. Schedule 8:00am–5:00pm, full-time. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy
- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BT) or National Music Therapy Registry or American Music Therapy Association certification or other recognized national certification for music therapists
- Ability to pass background check, consumer report, and drug test
- Provide music therapy per plan of care; assess patients and determine effectiveness
- Implement interventions to relieve symptoms and support emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort
