Job Summary
Provide music therapy per plan of care, assessing patients to determine intervention effectiveness and implementing techniques for emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort. Utilize relaxation, lyric analysis, songwriting, and life review to relieve symptoms, documenting sessions promptly while educating the team on HIPAA compliance. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives to support patient autonomy and dignity. This full-time role includes an 8:00am to 5:00pm schedule at St. Croix Hospice, where you guide patients through the end-of-life journey using personalized musical experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy
- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BT)
- National Music Therapy Registry
- American Music Therapy Association
- Or another national organization that certifies, registers, or accredits Music Therapists
- Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug test
