Job Summary
Provide music therapy per plan of care, assessing patients to determine intervention effectiveness and implementing techniques for emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort. Utilize methods including relaxation, lyric analysis, songwriting, and life review while documenting sessions promptly. Educate the team, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives. This full-time role operates from 8:00am to 5:00pm at St. Croix Hospice, where you will guide patients and families through the end-of-life journey using personalized musical experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy
- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BT)
- National Music Therapy Registry
- American Music Therapy Association
- Or another national organization that certifies, registers, or accredits Music Therapists
- Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug test
