Job Summary
Provide music therapy per plan of care, assessing patients to determine effectiveness and implementing interventions that relieve symptoms while supporting emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort. Utilize techniques such as relaxation, lyric analysis, songwriting, and life review to personalize musical experiences, then document sessions promptly. Educate the team, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives. Work a full-time 8:00am to 5:00pm schedule. This role combines artistic passion with clinical knowledge to help patients find moments of joy and peace during their end-of-life journey.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Music from an accredited school
- Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug test
