Job Summary
Develops, administers, and coordinates music activities and programs for adult palliative, adult oncology, and pain management patients, with backup support for the Children's Hospital Music Therapist. Serve as the patient's advocate when collaborating with the healthcare team to determine suitable therapeutic interventions. Implement an individualized music therapy treatment plan consistent with other developmental, rehabilitative, habilitative, medical, mental health, preventive, wellness care, or educational services. Promotes family-centered care and facilitates the strengthening of positive coping and resiliency skills within the healthcare setting. Provides ongoing assessment of interventions used. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy and Board Certification. Full-time, 40-hour day shift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy
- Certification as Music Therapist – Board Certified
- licensure as a Music Therapist with the State Board of Integrative Health Care
