Job Summary
Conduct music therapy assessments to determine goals for the PCISP and implement approved treatment plans based on those findings. Track session data and report progress on quarterly reports while submitting client billing and additional paperwork such as time clock exceptions and incident reports. Communicate with clients' families regarding services and coordinate with the Waiver Services Director on developments or concerns. Participate in team meetings for clients on caseload, maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations, and travel to client homes or community facilities within a 30-mile radius. Requires a bachelor's degree in music therapy, MT-BC certification, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in music therapy
- MT-BC certification designated by the Certification Board of Music Therapists
- CPR and First aid certification annually and perform, as necessary
- Clear criminal record per Medicaid Waiver regulation requirements
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must successfully pass the initial and updated criminal history, background, and record checks, which includes driving history checks
- Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as provided by LittleStar, where physical distance cannot be attained as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
