Job Summary
Assess patients' functional status, musical responses, and preferences to develop individualized treatment plans using instruments, singing, movement, and listening. Monitor and evaluate patient progress regularly while maintaining accurate clinical records and communicating changes to the care team. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, participate in meetings and quality improvement initiatives, and educate patients, families, and staff on treatment plans. Work Mon-Fri from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Woodbury, MN, providing comfort and connection to patients during their final moments through the healing power of music.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in music therapy from an AMTA-approved program
- Board-certified (MT-BC) by CBMT
- Valid driver's license with insured, reliable vehicle
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Understanding of hospice philosophy and end-of-life issues
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years clinical music therapy experience
