Job Summary
Provide engaging, individualized music instruction and develop lesson plans that support each student's musical growth. Encourage consistent practice habits, prepare students for recitals and evaluations, and maintain accurate lesson records and attendance. Foster a safe, welcoming classroom environment while communicating professionally with parents and collaborating with fellow instructors. Serve as a positive example of integrity, respect, and servant leadership to help students grow musically and personally.
Required Qualifications
- Experience teaching music lessons in one or more instruments or voice
- Strong musicianship and knowledge of music theory
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds
- Dependable, organized, and professional
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, mission-driven nonprofit environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music or equivalent professional experience preferred
