Job Summary
Plan, organize and implement an instructional program in a secondary learning environment, guiding students to develop academic potential. Develops district curriculum aligned with school goals, creates and delivers music instruction, assesses student progress, maintains records, promotes parental involvement, and collaborates with colleagues. Requires a valid Ohio teaching license/certificate in Music (Multi Age P-12); strong communication, organization, and professional growth mindset; ability to integrate knowledge and skills for effective classroom instruction. The role emphasizes curriculum development, differentiated instruction, data-informed assessment, and alignment with district policies and state standards. The position is primarily in-person at New Albany, Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold valid Ohio teaching license or certificate (Multi Age - P-12) in Music
- Teaching Music experience preferred
- Must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents
- Must be open to participating in staff development opportunities
- Must have ability to work cooperatively with students, staff and parents
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and differentiation in instruction
- Ability to organize and coordinate work
- Ability to use computer systems and software as needed
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
