Job Summary
The Music Teacher will develop and implement an engaging music curriculum for K-8 students at Stepstone Academy, focusing on song dances, rhythmic activities, and instrumental instruction. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and equivalent knowledge in teaching required
- Minimum of Ohio Resident Educator License required
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance
- Ability to take and pass a physical exam, tuberculosis clearance and drug screening
- Employment is contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education preferred
- Knowledge in music, music appreciation and the skills to manage students
- Highly knowledgeable about content area theory and best practices
- Expert knowledge of academic subjects and enthusiasm for conveying this to students
