Job Summary
Provide standards-aligned music instruction for grades K–8, teaching rhythm, melody, harmony, and notation; offer hands-on instrumental instruction in keyboard/piano basics and guitar; expose students to diverse musical styles, including classical, contemporary, jazz, gospel, and global music; foster music appreciation, performance opportunities, and STEAM connections through sound, waves, patterns, and technology in music production; prepare performances and events; differentiate instruction to meet varied learner needs; maintain and manage instruments and equipment; promote an inclusive, engaging classroom; collaborate with staff to support school-wide programs and events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or related field
- Teaching certification (or eligibility) preferred
- Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students
- Proficiency in at least one primary instrument (keyboard or guitar)
- Familiarity with music technology (digital music tools, recording basics, or production software)
