Music Teacher Intern

Assist Music Teacher-Mentor by leading and teaching a class, help with school-wide concerts (Winter or Spring), manage student behavior to maintain an optimal learning environment, record student progress toward learning goals using ETM benchmarks, create visually engaging classroom materials, reinforce classroom routines, participate in ETM professional development, and maintain a portfolio with weekly observations and unit plans. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Music/Arts or Related Field and 1 year of teaching or student teaching experience; ability to model quality singing and knowledge of musical pedagogy; willingness to undergo NYC DOE fingerprinting/background check; internship runs 12–14 weeks at 10–13 hours per week. Compensation is $20/hour with no H1B sponsorship."
