Job Summary
Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula to meet ambitious academic expectations for grades 6-12. Deliver relevant content, master grade-level objectives, and submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance. Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations, adjust instruction accordingly, and communicate weekly updates to students and families. Facilitate a productive learning environment using consistent behavior management systems and effective technology integration. Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all students' needs and participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, and before/after-school duties. Maintain a minimum of 40+ hours at school per week while engaging in year-long professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Holding or willing to pursue a Florida educator certification
- Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week
- Must remain Drug-Free both on and off the job, and free from alcohol on the job
- Successful completion of a background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a K-12 classroom setting
- High level of content-area proficiency as evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience
