Job Summary
Plan and deliver elementary music instruction aligned with district and state standards; teach foundational music concepts (rhythm, melody, harmony, tempo, pitch, notation) and provide vocal/instrumental instruction; organize and direct student performances and special events; differentiate instruction and assess progress; communicate with parents and staff; collaborate to support school goals; maintain equipment and inventory; compliance with district/state procedures; must have and maintain SC certification in Music/Fine Arts and may require transportation; pre-employment TB test and background checks are required.
Required Qualifications
- South Carolina certification in Music/Fine Arts or valid certification required with a strong GPA in relevant coursework.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching practices
- Familiar with educational technology tools
- Strong classroom management skills
- Proficiency with music-related software or technology
