Job Summary
Conduct private lessons and lead rehearsals while teaching music fundamentals, theory, and curriculum design to ensure students are challenged and inspired. Create and document thoughtful lesson plans, maximize instruction quality across keys, vocals, guitar, bass, and drums, and pitch in during canceled lessons to support overall program execution. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, maintain visible and accessible interactions with students, and assist with school maintenance while adhering to safety and supervision policies. Requires 4+ years of professional teaching or performing experience, strong customer relations skills, and a patient, enthusiastic demeanor.
Required Qualifications
- 4 + years' experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
- Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
- Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people
- Strong organizational skills
- Very strong customer relations skills
- Resourceful and good problem-solver
- Works well under pressure
- Good judgment a must
- Passion for teaching
- Ideal candidate is a working musician who also has formal music school training
