Job Summary
The Music Instructor II – Strings will provide private and group instruction in music for students of all ages, supporting the educational mission of the Kroc Center Hawaii. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, selecting appropriate teaching materials, evaluating student progress, and maintaining communication with students and parents. Ideal candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field, with at least two years of teaching experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage classrooms are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music or related degree, or equivalent teaching experience
- At least two years’ experience teaching music
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work and interact with a diverse group of people
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in teaching music to various age groups
- Strong classroom management skills
- Flexibility to work during varied hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings
