Job Summary
The Music Instructor is responsible for providing music education and lessons to both children and adults, teaching music theory, and instructing on instrument techniques. Duties include leading and assisting various Salvation Army music groups, arranging musical groups for special events, and preparing students for public recitals. Candidates must have a strong musical background, be able to read music, and are encouraged to be adaptable and patient while working within a team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Experienced musical background
- Must be able to read music
- Criminal background check required
Desired Qualifications
- Fluent in brass, piano, percussion
- Familiar with Salvation Army Music
- Ability to interact effectively with people of all ages, ethnic and cultural diversity
- Capability to work within a team environment
- Patience and adaptability
