Job Summary
Music Teacher responsible for instruction of music content in a classroom setting within grade levels K-12. Designs and implements music instruction aligned to state standards and district curriculum; creates a positive learning environment; delivers engaging, rigorous lessons; employs diverse teaching practices to meet student needs; observes and evaluates student performance and maintains records; manages classroom behavior; communicates with parents and school personnel; ensures health and safety of students and protects equipment and materials; maintains certifications and professional development hours as required; position requires a bachelor’s degree and Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Music or eligibility for Florida Temporary Music Certificate.
