Job Summary
Lead engaging music activities for students in grades K–8 by teaching age-appropriate concepts, facilitating Music and Movement, and utilizing digital tools like Soundtrap. Adjust lessons based on individual skill levels and interests while maintaining a positive, inclusive environment that encourages creativity and collaboration. Establish clear expectations and ensure student safety throughout the program. Follow BAM! guidelines and communicate any concerns as needed. This part-time role begins September 15, 2026, with availability on Tuesdays from 1:45 PM to 4:10 PM PST at a wage of $32.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Experience or education in music, music education, performing arts, or a related field
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Willingness to complete required training
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 20–50 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Reliable transportation to the assigned program location
Desired Qualifications
- Approximately 1–2 years of experience in music-related instruction, activities, or performance is preferred
- Experience working with children or youth is preferred
- Comfortable working with students in grades K–8
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliable and able to arrive on time for scheduled programs
