Job Summary
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate music lessons for preschool students, integrating singing, movement, rhythm, and instrument exploration to support cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Adapt instruction to diverse learning needs while collaborating with staff to reinforce literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills. Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment, manage student activities, and select age-appropriate musical resources. Ensure compliance with school division policies and participate in professional development. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal during a 200-day contract.
Required Qualifications
- Valid certification to meet State requirements with specific endorsement in the area to which assigned
- Have demonstrated the professional and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, parents, school personnel and members of the community
- Must have demonstrated success in working with a variety of students
