Job Summary
Play music, backing tracks, special effects, and sound prompts during live Warriors and Valkyries home games, including primetime, halftime, and dance team performances. Record, edit, and mix audio tracks while building and maintaining sound and music libraries. Test sound equipment before broadcasts, resolve technical issues, and regulate volume levels to ensure optimal acoustic results. Collaborate with producers, DJs, performers, and stage managers to coordinate maximum impact. Follow Run of Show guidelines and make real-time adjustments. This part-time role reports directly to the Manager, Game Presentation, based in San Francisco.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in audio/sound engineering
- 5-7 years' experience as sound engineer
- Extensive knowledge of various musical genres, music trends, and experience programming music
- Technical expertise using sound equipment, such as audio mixing consoles, 360 Systems Instant Replay, Ableton live and Sound Director effectively
- Extensive experience in sound engineering techniques (e.g., equalizations) and familiar with sound editing and recording equipment (e.g. mixing consoles)
- Working knowledge of recording software and hardware (e.g. Pro Tools, Adobe Audition)
- Ability to follow Run of Show (ROS) and make real-time in game adjustments
- A standout colleague with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent hearing and manual dexterity
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in audio/sound engineering or equivalent experience a plus
- 5-7 years' experience as sound engineer a plus
