Museum Store Manager

Oversee daily store operations to ensure standards, procedures, and service expectations are consistently executed. Maintain a visible and supportive floor presence, providing guidance, coaching, and conflict resolution as needed. Create and manage the store schedule to support business needs, visitor traffic, events, and staffing coverage. Lead, train, and support store staff to deliver knowledgeable, welcoming, and sales-focused service. Maintain organized and accurate records for invoices, purchase orders, consignment reports, transfer requests, check requests, and related administrative documentation. Partner with the Director of Retail Operations on sales goals, promotions, vendor activity, merchandising priorities, and operational improvements. Monitor inventory processes, including cycle count reporting, discrepancy follow-up, receiving support, damages reporting, and stock replenishment. Ensure exhibition catalog movement is tracked accurately and promote loss prevention awareness by monitoring floor activity and compliance with store procedures. Collaborate with Museum departments to support retail opportunities connected to exhibitions, member programs, donor events, and visitor engagement initiatives.
