Job Summary
Museum Engagement Staff tasked with delivering engaging guest experiences at the Museum of Illusions in Charlotte. Responsibilities include guiding and instructing guests on exhibits, leading special events (school field trips, group visits, birthday parties, private rentals), providing tours to guests or group clients, maintaining museum standards and cleanliness, managing visitor flow, greeting and directing guests, selling tickets and merchandise, processing refunds and discounts, restocking and merchandising, and engaging with guests in the Smart Playroom and retail areas. Requires a High School Diploma and 2 years of customer-facing experience; experience in arts/entertainment/hospitality is a strong plus. Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, an outgoing attitude, reliability, and the ability to work under pressure with strong emotional intelligence. Physical ability to stand, lift up to 25 lbs, and work indoors/outdoors is noted. Salary offered: $18/hour with standard benefits; equal employment opportunity statement included.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
