Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join MUSC Health – Columbia Medical Center Downtown Infectious Disease team. Provide inpatient and outpatient Infectious Disease follow-up care, evaluate and manage acute and chronic infectious conditions, collaborate with ID physicians, pharmacists, nursing staff, and care management to develop individualized treatment plans, assist with antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention strategies, participate in patient education and transitions of care, and utilize Epic EHR to support high-quality patient care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting. The role emphasizes delivering patient-centered care within a high-performing academic medical center and ongoing professional development in a support-focused culture.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Practice Provider: NP or PA
- Infectious Disease experience preferred, but strong trainees encouraged to apply
- Infectious disease follow-up care (inpatient and outpatient)
- Collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, nursing staff, and care management
- Antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention involvement
- Education and transitions of care
- Epic EHR experience
- Collaborative team environment and patient-centered care
