Job Summary
Develop the long-range strategic, annual business, and marketing plans with emphasis on group P&L, capital purchase, and staff training. Be accountable for key metrics including revenue, profitability, workload backlog, billing, and accounts receivable. Supervise project managers, engineers, technicians, and specialists while guiding staff development. Act as the company representative in the community and conduct business development through client contact and satisfaction monitoring. Coordinate with operational divisions to cultivate an efficient team environment. Oversee technical production, prepare contract documents, and negotiate with clients and sub-consultants. Ensure conformance with quality standards and corporate policies. Take the lead in marketing and winning civil/utilities/CEI projects from public and private sector clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior experience in supervising staff, managing projects, and developing new and maintaining existing clients
- Eagerness to cultivate a team environment where all staff members feel valued and supported and all ideas flow freely
- Self-motivated, performance-driven with excellent people skills
- Proven business development skills and a strong reputation with clients
- 10 years of experience in a consulting or engineering firm
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Registered professional engineer (PE) in Florida
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- 15 years of experience in Civil/Municipal engineering
- Well-established existing network of contacts
