Job Summary
Project Engineer for municipal infrastructure projects will design and/or manage a range of transportation, utility, facility, and hydraulic systems for municipal and school-district clients. Responsibilities include acting as client manager, coordinating projects, developing engineering solutions, designing with CAD/CADD tools, evaluating load and flow conditions, estimating material and labor quantities, analyzing surveys and drawings, studying traffic and environmental conditions, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, identifying environmental risks and risk-management strategies, attending public meetings for municipal clients, providing technical advice to clients on design and construction, and supporting field activities of construction inspection staff. Requires a BS in Civil Engineering and PE licensure, with 8-15 years of experience and strong communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
- PE Licensure Required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with clients and public agencies
- Knowledge of computer aided design software
